TWO-STAR HOTEL

After having previously earned first merits in Hard and Crustcore combos like Unhinged and Hiatus, members of those outfits got together in the summer 2000. Two-Star Hotel were born. The days of Hard and Crust core are long gone. With Two-Star Hotel they turned towards an eclectic mix of Post-Punks, Neo New Wave and Indie Rock which directly hit your feet. Like with genre pioneers Gang Of Four the sound and the songs of Two-Star Hotel have certain refractory bulkiness which all the same ignites fast enough to guarantee filled dance floors at you local indie-discos. Egdy riffs, funky beats the slightly supercooled chants definitely puts them above the army of clone bands and approves their debut album for heavy-rotation. Shares members with Seasick, Le Prince Harry. When they are not playing or doing DJ (under the moniker "Plastic Family") some of their members volunteer at a number of local alternative clubs and collectives in Liege (La Zone, Carlo Levi, Casa Nicaragua). They are also part of the JauneOrangeCollective which is a union of some eighteen bands from Liege. In 2005 they stepped out of the rock'n'roll scene to collaborate to the Liege Theatre Festival in a play untitled "Il Vuoto or What Remains of Bertold Brecht" directed by Armando Punzo. Their debut lp is out on the Sounds of Subterrania label (Amos, Holiday Fun Club, Hara Kee Rees, etc) and and 2nd smashing album is scheduled for september 07.
